ABOUT THE GUIDE DOGS OF AMERICA

Located on a beautiful 7.5-acre campus in Los Angeles, Guide Dogs of America (GDA) serves a diverse range of individuals from the U.S. and Canada.

Our mission is to transform lives through partnerships with service dogs.

We breed, raise, and train:

  •  Guide dogs for individuals who are blind/visually impaired
  •  Service dogs for veterans and children with autism
  •  Facility dogs for professionals in hospitals, schools, and courtrooms

These highly skilled canines become trusted companions that increase confidence, mobility, and independence.

All programs and services—including transportation, personalized training, room/board, and postgraduate support—are provided at no cost to recipients.

Each guide/service dog team costs approximately $60,000, and all proceeds directly support GDA operating expenses.

Guide Dogs of America is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.
